PEG
builds and manages plants for the transformation and production of:
Supply chain energy
Biogas
Biomethane
Biomass
Humatic microbiodiversity
PEG Group
THE PEG GROUP was founded in 2012 (the Holding dedicated to biomethane was born in 2019 – PANITA) with four purposes:
• become the PEG group of companies aimed at developing the “Marcopolo Environmental Group” MEG;
• continue microbiological and technological research in waste management and environmental remediation; of the agronomic uses of HUMUS, all with the filing of the relative patents;
• develop specific products with high micro biodiversity for the degradation and / or demolition of complex organic and inorganic molecules, gaseous molecules / odors and for the control of biological degradation processes “REMEDIATION”;
• develop diversification of MEG, from landfill biogas destroyed to produce electricity with endothermic engines, to landfill biogas and artificial anaerobic digesters to produce biomethane, bio LNG and Humus for extensive-intensive crops.
PEG, thanks to the know-how developed in the sector by MEG on biomethane, becomes EPC in 2014, with particular attention to the prospects of the new BEBSSS!! ® ZERO WASTE PROJECT (Good And Organic Only If Healthy)!! ® – LNG / ENERGIE /HUMUS.
PANITA, parent company of the PAN Environmental Group “PEG”, created to manage BIOMETHANE development in partnership with the Marcopolo Environmental Group “MEG”. PEG works alongside the MEG Group to diversify the core business from biogas landfill to biomethane from FORSU and compatible biomass.
PEG with the companies of the MEG, implement the development of the project on the anaerobic digestion of biomass. Marcopolo S.p.A., which has already built and manages anaerobic digestion plants, in partnership with PEG companies, is a leader in the waste treatment sector, biogas and electricity production, quality humus production.
PANITA implements the development of the project and the presentation of the authorization process, organizes the commercial part for finding biomass, that is, it applies to the institutional, local, university and educational / informative PR of the population with the collaboration of the ANTA Association.
This is an operation started in Marcopolo since 2005 to diversify from the biogas landfill energy sector, born in 1990 at the first landfill in Bassano del Grappa to reclaim it from the harmful biogas that is destroyed using it to produce renewable energy, which was followed by about sixty other ones in Italy and abroad.
In 2009, the first biomass plant in Vignolo was started up to serve about fifty stables in the foot of the Cuneese Hill, with the withdrawal of about 80,000 tons / year of mixed manure from which electricity, thermal energy and one biodynamic Humus for the high bio-agriculture (fruit, wine, vegetables). Analogous ones were then started in Alessandria and Verona.
From this decade of operation on zootechnical biomass and agro-industrial by-products, the know-how and technologies of our primary highly specialized workers have been forged, as well as we have phased ourselves in the construction and management authorization document sector which in Italy, translated into bureaucratese, has particular operational cognitive needs and modalities in relations with the Bodies, many Bodies!
In 2014, the development on the transition from manure to FORSU starts to enter the planned plan of world decarbonization to a global circular economy that we define the chain of production and consumption of the logic of the BEBSSS, we define it “TRUTH OPERATION”, where if so it will be every step of production and consumption, the Planet Earth with its guests will enjoy excellent health. This is even more true for Italy as the fourth largest producer of fossil CO2 in the world, in relation to GDP / sq km / inhabitants and, as a beautiful country that has found a natural industry, filled with art and monuments, whose tourists can also enjoy the best variety of products and tasty world food and wine.
The BEBSSS Project is distributed with the following phases and criteria:
1 ° the quality of biomethane-Humus-by-products;
2 ° the low impact on the CO2 balance;
3 ° the financial non-dependence on the entry fee of the FORSU only;
4 ° the minimum environmental impact in the area hosting each BEBSSS plant;
5 ° the full involvement of local populations with:
• qualified and stable recruitment;
• information to train families, individuals, communities and businesses on the value of good waste separation, producing a clean wet;
• a didactic and operational involvement of local students in the four disciplines that will be shared at each facility:
• Agronomic studies
• Food microbiology studies
• Chemical engineering process studies
• Environmental and territory studies in agreement with schools and universities, students will have operational and didactic courses favoring agronomic research, in concert with the faculties;
• setting up of gardens for retirees in which they will use the humus produced and give productive data;
6 ° being an industrial group that makes profits whose controlled management, in addition to its own benefits, implements an important local impact, including induced costs, reduction of costs to families on the waste tariff, biomethane for local transport at an agreed price and an environment preserved.
7 ° healthy and evolutionary operation of our workers who, in addition to exercising in the best conditions and operations, will become the instructors of their future colleagues in the many BEBSSS realities that we intend to create in Italy and abroad.
- 2 PLANTS IN PIEDMONT
- 7 PLANTS IN LAZIO
- 2 PLANTS IN CAMPANIA
- 5 PLANTS IN PUGLIA
- 1 PLANT IN SICILY
Each BEBSSS plant will have from 15 employees those of 60,000-80,000 T / up to 30-40 employees for those of 120,000-180,000 T. Marcopolo can already count on about ten instructors who now work on landfill and biomass biogas plants, available to be the maintenance managers of the first about ten plants. Furthermore, at the two plants in Vignolo and Alessandria, we intend to use them as a training basis for the new team leaders of each BEBSSS plant, then they will spend a period in Vignolo near Borgo San Dalmazzo, Marcopolo and PAN headquarters …, where they come trained on safety, quality and document management. Finally, the various plant managers and team leaders will take turns training at the first BEBSSS plant and so on.
The technologies applied in the BEBSSS are the result of our direct evolutions carried out with primary suppliers, each specialized in its own sector on all the various supply chains adopted. The various suppliers will train our plant managers, team leaders and employees in the operational management of each machinery, according to a program that we have prepared and are perfecting.
They are all plants developed in municipalities, defined by us as areas of intervention, which in addition to being in regions with almost no FORSU enhancement plants, are also areas where Marcopolo has been operating for twenty years and are the result of a favorable local relationship that Marcopolo held in the area with the population, its industrial activities and all the regulatory bodies. This relationship in the area is the essential factor to be able to promote these new SFMS / biogas / biomethane / soil improvers plants to minimize popular opposition to the plant, indeed creating an opposite popular knowledge on the positive factors that this plant will bring to the area itself. To support this point, we have worked hard at all levels in these areas where the development of these BEBSSS Zero Waste plants is underway.
This BEBSSS project is the closing of the circle on the productive recovery of the organic fractions produced by the largest free-pit mines such as urban agglomerations and companies operating in the food sector, from agriculture to animal and human consumption.
