BEBSSS!! philosophy!!
BEBSSS!! ® translated means: Good and Organic Only If Healthy!!
And we mean the whole philosophy of the Marcopolo Environmental Group to obtain an organic that is: true!
But all this is achieved exclusively by involving the seven production sectors and the distributors of food products, namely:
the agricultural sector of herbaceous, cereal and horticultural crops
the agricultural sector of tree crops (viticulture, fruit growing and olive growing)
the industrial, agri-food sector and slaughterhouses
the large-scale distribution sector
the made in Italy catering sector that is confronted every day with Italian artistic, cultural and environmental tourism.
The “BEBSSS!! ® ProjectZERO WASTE
Let’s not call it waste, let’s call it resources.
Cities are the largest open-cast mines of what is improperly called waste and which for us are resources: biomass from FORSU separate collection (organic fraction of urban solid waste, i.e., the material collected from the separate collection of organic waste, also called wet).
Let’s make the circular economy circulate.
As a MEG and PEG group, by subtracting these biomasses from the environment and transforming them into energy, bio fuels and humus, we support human, animal and environmental wellbeing by producing wealth.
We are the ones who know how to close a cycle, opening the economic one.
Our group carries out the Principles of Environmental, Social and Economic Sustainability with the collaboration of leading Italian and foreign universities.
Considering them as resources and not waste, the biomasses from FORSU separate collection with all the agro-industrial, market, large / small distribution, catering by-products, go to the full advantage of the producer (families, industries and trade) with a virtuous supply chain on the basis of which what is considered “waste” by man, can instead be returned to the environment as a new resource but with ZERO WASTE.
Through trigeneration, that is the combined production of electricity and heat, air and cold water from biomass and waste; through the production of bio fuels (biomethane) and organic amendments (humus) we close the circle of the supply chains involved and obtain the “Zero Waste” result: a closed cycle that enhances the waste from separate collection (FORSU), waste and agro-industrial by-products , livestock and large retailers, and creates a true organic capable of producing wealth for the entire supply chain.
ADVANTAGES FOR THE HOST MUNICIPALITY AND THE LOCAL COMMUNITY
- potential reduction in disposal tariffs for the Municipality that hosts the plant;
- requalification of the area hosting the plant through: environmental remediation, odor reduction, increase in soil fertility thanks to the use of quality humus;
- improvement of air quality in the area by encouraging the use of biomethane vehicles, resulting from the direct distribution of the system
- involvement of the local population with increased employment at the plant and throughout the supply chain, in particular in the phases of construction, maintenance, management, educational and information involvement, with direct specialist training of qualified personnel in the positioning area of the plant;
- minimum environmental impact also at the landscape level.
ADVANTAGES FOR THE INDIVIDUAL CITIZEN
- potential reduction of waste disposal tariffs applied by the Municipality to citizens;
- requalification of the area hosting the plant through: environmental remediation, odor reduction, increase in soil fertility thanks to the use of quality humus;
- improvement of air quality in the area by encouraging the use of biomethane vehicles, resulting from the direct distribution of the system
- direct advantage in finding local quality agricultural products (grown with organic and non-chemical humus as soil fertilizer);
- increase in the offer of employment, increase in employment at the plant and throughout the supply chain, in particular in the phases of construction, maintenance, management, educational and information involvement, with direct specialist training of qualified personnel in the positioning area of the plant.
